Gebrüder Kühnlenz nº 133-20 Doll bisque (porcelain) doll in good condition with an antique composition body. The wig is made of natural and old hair. Original eyes are glass and moveable, Doll is about 48 cm. The dress and underwear were made to measure the following old models.

On the back of the head it is marked with the drawing of a sun and with the number 133-29. This head is from the Gebrüder Kühnlenz brand.

Gebrüder Kühnlez

The Gebrüder Kühnlez brand was established in the German city of Kronach, located in the Bavaria area. This factory was founded in 1909 and especially specialized in porcelain doll heads of different types. To identify this brand we have to look at the part of the neck that bears the initials G. K and a drawing of a Sun.

The Bisque

Generally, Germany was the most prolific country in the world in terms of doll making and it’s collectors have received a great legacy.

 

In general, bisque doll heads were made in the same way as other bisque products just like Gebrüder Kuhnlenz nº 133-20 Doll

Earlier bisque heads were more likely to have been pressed than dumped. The liquid preparation could have been stained or white.
