Composition Baby brand Giol. A Spanish doll with a head of pasta and a body of clothes from the 1940s.  This doll arrived in my hands with drooping eyes, with the loss of a finger on the right hand and a small crack on the leg,. It has been restored to be impeccable. The eyes are made of glass and are pendulous.

The body is in perfect condition and the extremities are separated. Clothing is custom-made. It measures about 60 cm.

It is marked on the head with a rhombus and underneath the initials ES.

Unbreakable pasta dolls, newborns, babys, walking dolls, etc. Company represented by José Palouzié. He exhibited at the X Official International Trade Fair in Barcelona in 1942 and at the XI Fair in 1943. The heads are marked VG inside a rhombus.

The Composition Dolls

In many cases, when talking about composition dolls, dolls made of different materials such as papier- maiché, or celluloid and other materials were included.
