Celluloid Schildkröt Hans Doll. It has articulated head, arms and legs. The eyes are original and glass, vibrant facial coloration, ajar mouth, molded painted hair This doll arrived in my hands in perfect condition only the rubbers have been changed. It measures about 53 cm.

The body and the head have the drawing of a turtle inside a diamond and the mold number 35. Mark attributed to Schildkröt.

The Schildkrot Family – Hans

From the 1930s, celluloid dolls began to be given the character of more real play dolls, creating different dolls and dolls creating a wide family of dolls.

Subsequently, The Hans doll was produced together with her older brother Ingie from 1933/34. Marked with the drawing of the turtle inside a diamond.

Early models were also offered in a baby body with a movable head. However, the body was the typical standing doll with arms and legs articulated this shape changed from 1939 and 40. They occurred until the late fifties.

The Inge model was probably the most typical and best-selling, but also probably the most copied turtle brand doll.

For example, a characteristic of this type of child is the small, molded mouth closed, similar to the model of it’s brother Hans.

Inge was produced in the most varied versions: body colours bright flesh, matte flesh or brown. Hair modeled in different colors such as: bright blonde, brown, red hair.
