Immaculate Conception

To sum up, The Immaculate Conception is one of the dogmas of the Catholic Church which states that the Virgin Mary – mother of Jesus of Nazareth – was born from the barren womb of St. Anne and was therefore preserved by God of original sin at the time of being conceived. to clarify, it shouldn’t be confused with the concept of the virgin birth, which refers to the conception of Jesus Christ by the Virgin Mary without having performed intercourse with her husband Joseph of Nazareth.

This fact implies that Mary was not afflicted by sin or deprived of grace, and that she lived a life free from impure acts. His immunity from the sin that all human beings commit, makes him the first first person redeemed and considered a “Plena de Gràcia” (Full Grace).

Subsequently, It is celebrated as a holiday on December 8, just nine months before the Nativity of Mary, which is commemorated on September 8.

It includes the “crown of twelve stars” and its enmity with a “great dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan,” stepping on these figures. The text of Revelation is “the moon under your feet.” In addition to these elements, Mary’s representation as a young woman was determined, with a white robe (symbol of purity) and a blue mantle (symbol of eternity); although the colors used in the mantle and robe of the Virgin are traditionally blue and red.
